Arlou E. Brahm, 76, of Southbury, died at home on July 12 after a long battle with cancer. She was born Arlou Spindler in Fort Wayne, Ind., on April 11, 1935, the daughter of the late Emmett W. Spindler and Helen Hoover Spindler . She met her first husband, Frank J. DeVestern , at Indiana University . He died in 1957 in an auto accident.
